WhatsApp is beta testing new features: usernames, screen sharing, and a status archive for businesses.
The username feature, found in the 2.23.11.15 Android beta version, allows users to select a unique username for their account, enabling users to find each other without phone numbers.
Screen sharing, noticed in the 2.23.11.19 Android beta version, allows users to share screen content during video calls. The status archive feature, primarily for businesses, permits archiving of statuses for future re-sharing.
