The NVS-01 satellite was placed into a geosynchronous transfer orbit by the GSLV rocket. The satellite will then use its own propulsion system to reach its final operational orbit.

The launch of the NVS-01 satellite is a significant milestone for ISRO. It is the first time that ISRO has launched a GSLV rocket since a failure in 2021. The successful launch of the NVS-01 satellite demonstrates that ISRO has overcome the challenges that led to the 2021 failure and is ready to resume its ambitious space exploration program. The launch of the NVS-01 satellite is also a significant milestone for India. It is the first time that India has launched a second-generation satellite for the IRNSS. The IRNSS is a critical infrastructure for India’s economic and social development.
